In the beautiful Landais Forest of the Dordogne, between Bordeaux and Bergerac, lies the 60 acres of field,wood and lakes that make up Terre et Toi. Here, I have designed and lovingly hand crafted three unique cabins, each in their own secluded space amongst the leafy Oaks overlooking the lake.
Eco-Friendly Handcrafted Cabins
The materials I build with are chosen for their sustainability and to blend in harmoniously with their surroundings. They are locally sourced and often from my own land which provides the oak for roof rafters, Black Locust for the foundations and clay for earthen plasters. And of course, everything is organic ,from the linseed oil used to protect the wood to the home made clay paints down to the cotton sheets on the bed and the eco friendly compost toilettes in the bathrooms.
My designs reflect the natural beauty in which the cabins stand - bathed in light and steeped in woodland magic.
