Plum Village

40 mins: One of the best known and most respected Zen masters in the world today, poet and peace activist, Thich Nhat Hanh, is based nearby in Plum Village, a meditation community which opens its doors twice a week to the public for ‘days of mindfulness’.

30 mins: Sitting on the banks of the river Dordogne, this once busy port town is now known for its bustling markets, its restored Perigordine town centre and as a gateway to the chateaux and bastides along the Dordogne Valley.
