In the beautiful Landais forest of Dordogne, between Bordeaux and Bergerac, lie the 100 acres of lakes,fields, and woodland that make up Terre et Toi. Here, I have designed and crafted each cabin to offer an intimate space among the lush oaks overlooking the wild swimming lake ,a perfect setting for a romantic getaway, where dogs are welcome
Eco-Friendly Handcrafted Cabins
The materials I build with are chosen for their sustainability and to blend in harmoniously with their surroundings. They are locally sourced and often from my own land which provides the oak for roof rafters, Black Locust for the foundations and clay for earthen plasters. And of course, everything is organic ,from the linseed oil used to protect the wood to the home made clay paints down to the cotton sheets on the bed and the eco friendly compost toilettes in the bathrooms.
My designs reflect the natural beauty in which the cabins stand - bathed in light and steeped in woodland magic.
